Welcome!

This is a holding place for works in progress by Crude Country Biofuels in Calgary, AB, Canada, surrounding the use of pure plant oil (PPO) fuels for diesel engines.

Here you will find literature reviews, empirical observation, pictures, links and video clips from a varity of sources, all in some way related to the furtherance of PPO fuels.

Crude Country Biofuels (CCB) is a virtual business that was established in 2003 to support individuals, companies, and communities begin to explore and adopt renewable energy solutions that fit their needs and desired outcomes. PPO, otherwise known as SVO (straight vegetable oil) or WVO (waste vegetable oil) is Crude Country's primary focus, as its energy balance and carbon balance have been shown to be superior to both petroleum and biodiesel. It can be produced in ways that do not conflict with food production, and is completely renewable.

CCB's flagship project is a proposed pilot to produce jatropha oil in some of Cuba's most remote and disadvantaged communities near Santiago de Cuba. Please see:
